National Honors Society

The Cottage Hill Christian Academy National Honor Society is a duly chartered and affiliated chapter of the prestigious national organization. Membership is open to those students who meet the required standards in four areas of evaluation: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Christian Character. Standards for selection are established by the national office of NHS, and have been revised to meet our local chapter needs. Students are selected to membership by a five-member Faculty Council appointed by the Principal. Students in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better on an unweighted scale are eligible for membership. Those students who meet the criteria are invited to complete a student information application form for consideration for membership. Induction of new members is held in January each year.

National Jr. Honor Society
The purpose of the National Junior Honor Society is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulate a desire to render service, promote leadership, develop character, and encourage citizenship. The CHCA chapter of the National Junior Honor Society promotes appropriate recognition for students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in these areas, and determines service projects in which members regularly participate. These service projects are intended to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals, the school, and the community. Once selected, members have the responsibility to continue to demonstrate these qualities.
